چکیده

The paper describes the development of a reusable electrode system for non-invasive brain–computer interface application with signal quality comparable to that conventional wet Ag/AgCl electrodes. innovative consists polyvinyl alcohol–glycerol–NaCl contact hydrogel and 3D-printed, silver-coated polylactic acid body. Advantageous features proposed are comfortable use, reusability, long shelf life, alterable geometry. electrical properties freshly prepared aged gels, as well different gel/silver interfaces, were separately characterized, showing much lower impedance values than those measured at electrode–skin complete system. Acceptability limits relevant electroencephalographic measurements, such signal-to-noise ratio during steady-state visually evoked potential measurements band alpha wave detection, have proven applicability

development of different optical methods for determination of glucose using cadmium telluride quantum dots and silver nanoparticles

a simple, rapid and low-cost scanner spectroscopy method for the glucose determination by utilizing glucose oxidase and cdte/tga quantum dots as chromoionophore has been described. the detection was based on the combination of the glucose enzymatic reaction and the quenching effect of h2o2 on the cdte quantum dots (qds) photoluminescence.in this study glucose was determined by utilizing glucose...

3D Printed Dry EEG Electrodes

Electroencephalography (EEG) is a procedure that records brain activity in a non-invasive manner. The cost and size of EEG devices has decreased in recent years, facilitating a growing interest in wearable EEG that can be used out-of-the-lab for a wide range of applications, from epilepsy diagnosis, to stroke rehabilitation, to Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI). A major obstacle for these emergin...

A Non-Adhesive Solid-Gel Electrode for a Non-Invasive Brain–Machine Interface

A non-invasive brain-machine interface (BMI) or brain-computer interface is a technology for helping individuals with disabilities and utilizes neurophysiological signals from the brain to control external machines or computers without requiring surgery. However, when applying electroencephalography (EEG) methodology, users must place EEG electrodes on the scalp each time, and the development o...

Development and Application of Wood Flour-Filled Polylactic Acid Composite Filament for 3D Printing

This paper presents the development of wood flour (WF)-filled polylactic acid (PLA) composite filaments for a fused deposition modeling (FDM) process with the aim of application to 3D printing. The composite filament consists of wood flour (5 wt %) in a PLA matrix. The detailed formulation and characterization of the composite filament were investigated experimentally, including tensile propert...

A Solid-State Thin-Film Ag/AgCl Reference Electrode Coated with Graphene Oxide and Its Use in a pH Sensor

In this study, we describe a novel solid-state thin-film Ag/AgCl reference electrode (SSRE) that was coated with a protective layer of graphene oxide (GO). This layer was prepared by drop casting a solution of GO on the Ag/AgCl thin film. The potential differences exhibited by the SSRE were less than 2 mV for 26 days. The cyclic voltammograms of the SSRE were almost similar to those of a commer...
